If I could put time in a bottle : My Wedding Day Part Two

Part one left off with me waiting in the woman's lounge of my church with Tammy (my photographer)  waiting for the ceremony to start while friends and family came down to wish me luck.

Finally it was time and my sister came down to get my girls and told them to stand upstairs, she told me I could stand at the bottom of the stairs, so we left the room with my photographer, while the girls headed upstairs. Now while I was the bottom of the stairs, this was when I started getting nervous. Before it was easy not to be nervous because I surrounded by all my friends and family but now? I was alone...and I was nervous. Lost in my thoughts, someone yelled at me and told me to move to the side of the wall but not before I looked up and saw Larry who was going pass the staircase. We talked about it and he didn't see me but I saw him and he looked amazing which just made me more nervous. I could see the tops of my girls head disappearing and they let me come up to see my ring bear and flower girl go in.

My brother Willie and good friend Carey

My brother Wayne and Larry's cousin Sam

Larry's best man David and my Maid of Honor Jordan

Ringbear David Michael my nephew

Flower girl Jasmine my niece

Then it was my turn, they closed the doors and I took my Dad's arm and they opened the door and I saw Larry at the over end of aisle.

I couldn't help but grin like idiot while I look at him, standing up there looking so handsome. It seemed like itself stopped while I walked up there to get to him.

As soon as I got up there to him and my hands fell into his, it seem like time just fasted forwarded and I don't remember any of the service ( I am so serious) expect for Larry's vows.

We decided to say our vows to each other and exchanged rings. Larry was so nervous he put my wedding band on upside down!   Larry's vows were amazing and just filled me up with so much warmth and love. I am glad we decided to write our own. I think the pictures of me while he saying his vows say everything.

After we said our vows we went over and light the unity candle and signed the papers. Then a blessing was said before we were presented as Mr and Mrs. Larry Polson and then we got to do what we waited the whole ceremony to do.

After we kissed it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulder, it was over all the planning all the stress, all the drama all those this one moment of me becoming Mrs. Polson! I did it! I married the man I always wanted to spend the rest of my life.

Larry and I decided to do a receiving line which was amazing idea! It was so much fun getting to hug and chat with people while they went into the reception. In the reception, we had a candy buffet, crossword puzzles and color books.

At the reception, Larry and I said our thank yous to everyone who came. Our wonderful Best man and Maid of Honor said some words of well wishes before Larry and I cut our cake. The Groom's Cake was Larry's surprise for the wedding, its a 3D sculpture of his 1970s maverick that is in our garage. He really liked the cake that made me really happy because I had to keep it a surprised for like forever!

We did get to talk to some people but I wish had I had a chance to talk to more but we were on a tight schedule and were actually 30 minutes late for leaving to go take pictures with the wedding. It was SOOO MUCH FUN. We had a limo that took us to a couple places downtown before the sun started going down and we had to head to our second reception at Sleepy Hollow which I won't be writing a post about because I don't remember all that much but it was amazinggggggggggggggggg. :) I don't get my photos from the photographers for another 3 weeks but when I do I will make sure to post them. Everyone was raving about how amazing my photographers were and how beautiful I looked. I seriously felt like a princess and man I had such a blast at my wedding, I wish I could do it all over again. All that planning and it turned out perfect! I got marry my husband and be with people that care about us while we did it. Such amazing journey that I wouldn't have been able to do with such amazing support of my mom, sisters, family, coworkers, friends,  my maid of honor, bridesmaids, best man, groomsmen and of course my wonderful, dreamy husband.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
 Now Mrs. Polson

If I could put time in a bottle : My Wedding Day Part One

The day started out with me in pjs and ended with me feeling like a princess. My wedding day was one of the fastest, longest day of my life, I wish I would just hit rewind and replay. All the stress, all the tears, all the drama, all the fears, just disappeared the moment we started unwinding my hair from my flexrods (yes I did my own hair with help from my MOH Jordan and Wedding Coordinator Tonya, my sister) and with each brush of make up on my face from the talented Danielle (Beauty of All Faces), I knew that this day was no longer a distant dream but it was reality. I was marrying Larry :)

I guess I am getting ahead of myself but lets me start with the beginning of my day which was picking up 144 flowers for my table centers and bringing redbulls and snacks to church for my girls at around 9:30 am.

When I got to the church, I saw my MOH already doing stuff to the tables. I can't even begin to say what a rockstar my MOH was the whole day of my wedding. All my girls were incredibly helpful and patience with me.  But the day of my MOH stepped up her game and did stuff I didn't expect her to do at all. It was amazing but more on that later.
Jordan (MOH) and I started making sure tables were set up right before she headed downstairs to start to get ready for the wedding.
I and one of my mom's friend attempted to tackle the backdrop. What a freaking hassle!!!!!! They were suppose to tell me how to put it up when I picked it up on Thursday and they never did, so it was a guessing game, luckily we figured it and one of my other bridesmaid Carey came to help but after about half an hour, I was shooed downstairs and told that my make up artist had arrived and I needed to be downstairs.
Danielle (Beauty of All Faces ) my make up artist, was amazing as always, she even up put with my lame nervous jokes I kept saying and with me trying to boss people around while she was doing my make up.

My photographers showed up and took my flowers and the rings to take pictures while Danielle did my make up. When my make up was finished, I realized my hair was still in my flexrods! So Jordan and Danielle helped take them out so Danielle could get a few pictures of my hair. My make up looked AMAZING, I kept making the comment that if Larry didn't marry me, I'd probably marry myself. My eyes had never looked bigger or prettier, I kept staring at myself, haha. After I was done admiring myself, Jordan and I  went on to find my pearl headbands and my sister came down to give my hair a "bump" and attached my veil. hehe. After that it was time for the dress.
My mom just looks at me and says, "How are you going to get the shirt over your hair and make up?"
I look down at my old school MTV t shirt (please make sure you were a button up on your wedding day while you are getting ready just a suggestion.)
Someone suggested that we cut it and after that it was wrap. Jordan got some scissor and we cut the bad boy.  It was my mom that I insisted help me into my dress. After I got my dress on it felt like time just slowed down. I looked freaking awesome! Jordan snapped a few photos, that she promised not to upload until the wedding was over.

Me and the MOH Jordan

We were running behind schedule, so we made sure Larry wasn't in the hall way and rushed me upstairs to take family photos.
During family photos, Jordan was a rockstar! She kept making sure my hair wasn't out place and when it was, would come up and fix it. (Please make sure you have a good MOH like this!) After family photos, I was rushed back downstairs and put in my "bridal room" while Larry was rushed upstairs. During that time, MOH and I just joked around with one of my other bridesmaid since the other two were taking family picutres with Larry (his sister and his cousin). I had family and friends stop by the room, oohing and awing about how pretty I was and asking if I was nervous. Surprisingly I wasn't nervous. Just ready to get hitched!

Part two, soon to come!!!

Are you ready for your wedding?

No.

I always give the same answer to that question. It's one of the biggest days in woman's life, how could anyone feel ready?

I feel nervous, jittery, excited, happy, exhausted, all rolled into one. 135 have RSVP-ed. Its crazy to think I even know that many people.

Its only 8 days away.

Lucky for me after almost two years of planning, my sister and mother have taken over the planning which is amazing because it means I don't all the weight of the wedding on my shoulders anymore.

People ask me if I am ready for my wedding.
No.

What they should really ask if I am ready to married to my best friend?
Annoyed everday?
Laugh everyday?
Wake up to those beautiful blue eyes every morning?
Become Mrs. Larry Polson and have more family to love then I could ever imagine?

Yes. Yes I am.

Wedding Make up Consultation with Beauty Of All Faces

More golden color on my left right eye, and more light pink make up on my right eye.

I love my face. I also love make up.

And for my wedding day I always knew I wanted a make up artist. It was just the task of finding one that did airbrushing was the hard part. When looking for a make up artist, it was a important for me to find one that had experience and a passion for make up.

With Beauty Of All Faces, they kinda fell into my lap. My good friend's cousin was getting married and had used them so I checked them out and like what I saw. I booked them for my engagement pictures to feel them out and I was really impressed with how professional and charming Danielle was. When I went in for my engagement pictures, I had no idea what I wanted but I know wanted something more natural (or as natural as you can get with make up :) and Danielle accomplished that (even my photographers  were complimenting how good make up was!)

I booked my wedding with Danielle the same day I got my engagement make up done. When booking a wedding with Beauty Of All Faces, you get a consultation before the wedding with two looks. I knew I wanted to try red lips but was heistant.

So when I did my two looks Danielle did one that was more for a look with red lips and another that with no red lips. I ended up not going with red lips and preferred the more pink look she gave me.

I love the fact that day of Beauty of all Faces comes to where ever you are and they are very flexible open to whatever wedding look you looking for.

But for me I love the drama of my make up and looking fab-u-lous!

Over and out,
Future Mrs. Polson

My journey, so far Escort cards, Wedding band, tux and more!

So busy lately. I was reading on a blog about the different types of brides and one of the types was "Do It Herself Bride" and "People Pleaser Bride". I would have to say I am little bit of both of those, so instead of asking for help I have been trying to do everything myself. Unfortunately I am learning that I can't do the work of 20 people :( Anyway  I was most worried about escort cards,  my wedding band, tux, guest book and table centers. So here is update on those things.
I guess I'll try to make this post as organized as possible but I can't promise anything.

Escort Cards

I decided AGAINST assigned seating too much of a hassle. But I am reserving tables for family and coworkers, so they will at least get a chance to sit next to each other. :)

The Wedding Band

One thing my older sister told me when I was looking for a ring was to find a set. Unfortunately, I fell in love with a ring that wasn't a set and square, making things way more difficult to find a band that would
A) Match
B) Not overpower my engagement ring.
We went to Zales, several times but I didn't see anything think "This is it!" Finally we went to Zales at Jordan Creek Mall, and after me staring at and fingering rings for what seem like forever. I found one.

I love this ring. It doesn't overpower but enhances my already beautiful engagement ring. It makes me happy and very anxious for the when I get to wear it everyday. :)

The Tux

We got the boys (most anyway) already fitted for their tux and got color scheme picked out. All the boys in red ties and Larry will be in a white tie with black shirts. My nephew requested to be in a bowtie, so I got him black bow tie with a white shirt. :)

The Guestbook

I've always known we wouldn't go with a traditional guestbook but there are a lot of nontraditional options out there. It was a decision between a signature plate or frame. We chose a frame because I would be heartbroken if I had the plate on display and it got kicked over while we had people vising the house or something. So we decided on a frame from Exclusivelyweddings.com. It's a 18x23 and can hold about 175 signatures and right now our guest list is only at 130, so we should be good. I love anything that I can display after the wedding.

Tablecenters

Still working on my table centers! I wanted to do a mock up but still looking for a couple things. But I have 3 more vases to make...17 vases done! But I am going to have red roses in each vase. But still very much under construction.

Well thats all I am working on right now. Over and out!,
